Pieces vary in size but thickness of fir tends to greater so further splitting of some pieces may be required.
Nice crackle, like most softwoods - it does spark.
Excellent to burn with another wood like Birch.
Split to 14 -16" lengths, Douglas Fir is a larger tree so the width of pieces can vary after splitting - some large pieces.
